How do Danger Zone bets work in soccer?

Updated

A Danger Zone is a short period during a live soccer match when certain in-play bets are temporarily restricted to ensure fairness.

This can occur during high-risk moments, such as:

  • Free kicks near goal
  • Corner kicks
  • Attacks in the opposition third
  • Other fast-changing or high-impact events

Bet statuses during a Danger Zone:

  • Waiting: Bets placed during a Danger Zone are temporarily listed as waiting.
  • Pending: Once the Danger Zone ends, bets are either accepted (status changes to pending) or rejected.

Bets will get rejected when the following occurs:

  • If a goal is scored
  • If a red card is shown
  • For Corners markets, if a corner is awarded

Bets not affected by these events are accepted once the Danger Zone ends.

How Danger Zones are determined:

  • Danger Zones are set by a team completely separate from our traders to ensure fairness.
  • We use the fastest available data feeds to determine Danger Zones as accurately as possible.
  • Exact split-second timings may not always be reflected, and in rare cases, Danger Zones are only adjusted if a clear and unambiguous error occurs.
